About the Role
Lindsay Windows is seeking a Continuous Improvement Program Manager to lead strategic operational improvement initiatives across our seven manufacturing facilities.
This is a hands-on, highly visible role working directly with executive leadership and plant management to identify opportunities, lead cross-functional projects, and implement improvements that deliver measurable results in productivity, quality, efficiency, safety, and profitability.
The ideal candidate enjoys working on the manufacturing floor, solving problems with teams, and turning improvement opportunities into sustainable, standardized processes across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities.
- Identify and implement improvements in production, warehouse operations, quality, material flow, safety, and productivity.
- Lead projects from concept through implementation, including timelines, resources, risks, and success measures.
- Spend significant time on the production floor observing processes, identifying waste, coaching teams, and driving improvements.
- Evaluate successful improvements and deploy best practices across all seven facilities when applicable.
- Develop standardized work, process documentation, and implementation guides.
- Partner with General Managers, Production Managers, Warehouse Managers, Engineering, and other teams to execute strategic initiatives.
- Train and coach leaders and employees in Lean principles, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze operational and financial data to prioritize projects and measure ROI.
- Recommend equipment, tooling, automation, and process improvements that improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project progress, risks, results, and financial impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
- Strong analytical, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple locations and lead through influence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 40–60%, including overnight travel.
- Must live within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport.
Preferred: Lean Green Belt, Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent certification; experience in window, building products, or other discrete manufacturing environments.
